Well, well....Our Malaysia RM50 note is going to have a NEW LOOK! Yahoo!The note will be available starting from 30 January 2008.This is the old note.Here is a short article from The New Straits Times.

Changing the RM50 note is a good idea since the number of Rm50 fake notes are mushrooming. This will be a very good way to prevent us from receiving or using fake notes... but just for a certain period.

"Bank Negara has prepared commemorative special packaging for 20,000 of the notes.
Each will cost RM60 and will be available from Dec 26 at the headquarters and branches in Penang, Johor Baru, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
Dr Zeti said the current RM50 notes would continue to be legal tender even with the introduction of the new notes, adding that they would be phased out in a few years."
Honestly, I feel like buying the new RM50 note right now.. But RM60... em.... can I change just a note? Maybe I can ask someone to buy for me as my Xmas gift? haha... Lol....
