TM Everyone Connects 1st Anniversary

Have you visited the Everyone Connects website?

I have just visited it and find myself having fun playing with the cute avatar and chit-chatting with other visitors. It is like a ‘live chatroom’ where you can move your avatar around, meet other avatar and chat. It’s fun!

This youth-oriented website www.everyoneconnects.net is created by Telekom Malaysia Berhad’s (TM) recently as a celebration of its 1st anniversary. It’s a total fresh look with the introduction of new features and applications. The birthday celebration must be very grand because it was graced by Dato’ Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM, Rozalila Abdul Rahman, Chief Marketing Officer, TM and Imri Mokhtar, Executive Vice President, Consumer, TM.

How do I know? Because I read from the article! Thus I check out the website and I think you should too. Trust me, you can learn about TM services while entertaining yourself.. Winking smile

You will be able to interact within the communities, say ‘hello’ to one another, watch video clips, listen to music, view sporting events and movies. Also, I saw contest column where you will be informed with the upcoming events.

Just the problem is, I feel I am a complete weirdo because my first experience chit chatting with the community (a group of users) is so… weird. When I visited this website, my first conversation with others were as below:

***

Curryegg: Hi

User A: Hi. Ko ape ni (what are you?)

Curryegg: Emm.. curryegg?

User A: ………………………….

User B: ………………………….

User C: Hahaha….

Emmm… I thought my name is sweet and unique? Green with envy

Comment With Facebook/Twitter Account

Huurrroooooooyyy!!!!!

Right now, you can use your Facebook or Twitter account to leave your comment in Curryegg's comment box. Yes. That's right. Isn't this interesting? There shouldn't be a hassle in leaving your comment starting by now because you don't have to type in name, email and blogURL. Instead, you just have to sign in to your Facebook or Twitter account by clicking the Facebook or Twitter icon. You will see these icons just above the comment box.

P/s: Thanks to Jacq for suggesting Disqus comment system for my blog. I hope it will help me in managing my comments properly.. *pray*

If you are not sure on how to leave your comment using your Facebook or Twitter account, don't worry. I will help you in this by providing you some guidelines. In fact, you don't need these guidelines because it is really simple.

*wink*

1) How To Leave Comment Under Your Facebook Account

Firstly, click on the comment box which is located at the bottom of the post. Then scroll down the page and you will come across with Disqus comment box. Just above the blank comment box, you will notice the icon "F connect" which means connecting to Facebook.

Click on it and you will be directed to a Facebook log in box. Just enter your log in detail including email and password. This is how Disqus comment system connects to your Facebook account.

Once you have successfully logging in, your name and display picture based on your Facebook account will appear.

What else? You can start typing your comment or your love words into the box. Click on the post comment button and ta-da.....

Your comment will appear. Cool isn't it? Since almost everyone is owning a Facebook account, I believe this comment system will come in handy. In fact, funkier! So my dear Facebook friends, you have no excuses for not leaving me comment this time.. Mamak, Asha, ShuHuan, Mac, SzeL, Kevin and Eric can you hear me? hehe.. ;)

2) How To Leave Comment Under Your Twitter Account

Well, the procedure is similar to the former one. Just search and click on the Twitter icon. You will be directed to twitter log in box. Just key in your name and password.

Once the system is ready, your twitter account will connect to my comment box. Your Twitter display picture and name will appear.

So, you can start typing your comment. Wait, before you hit on the 'post comment' icon, you will notice a small box on the right, stating 'Twitt this comment as yourname'. If you want the comment appear in your Twitter homepage, just tick on it. Or else, just leave it.

At the end, the comment will be save in my comment box and it will appear like this:

So, izzit FUN or WHAT?

Non-blogger readers can now leave their thoughts or love notes for me with their preferable Avatar (photo or icon of yours). No more ugly-boring-dull avatar which appear beside your comment. Besides, I can connect to their Facebook profile or Twitter account for easily - so that I know who you are. Hehe..

I hope Disqus will work well for my blog. I don't wanna test another new comment system after this, pray.. For your information, I have just shifted from Intense Debate to Disqus. Not using Google comment if Disqus manage to win my heart.

So, let start throwing eggs into my comment box. I have been longing for yours..

;)

Huurrrrrooooyyy!!!!

Curryegg has received another Popular Blog Award again from Bloggerunited!!!! Oh my. I'm seriously excited since the very first day of 2009. I've never felt so honour becoming a blogger till Rei, the founder of Bloggerunited organized a room for awards giving every month. Yes. Every MONTH!

This idea is like a motivation which will drive every blogger to blog more, connect to the community more and produce quality posts more.

Undeniably, this is one of the motivation which will encourage each of us - the blogger to be more active in blogosphere. Besides, it is something proud which we would love to keep in our long term memory and a way to thank our readers for following our blog.

Nothing is as excited as being nominated as the most popular blog in Bloggerunited. Yes. Seriously, I'm excited even till now. I guess it is most probably because of the interview session which Rei suggested and he is running it right now. Wuuoooott!!!

My Very First Interview With Bloggerunited.
(link)

Hello, Im Rei...Congratulations to you guys for winning Blogger Of The Month, Popular Blogger and Popular Blog of November 2008. Please describe yourself in 3 words.

Hello Rei. Thank for the nomination and I am glad my blog has been listed as the Popular Blog of November 2008. Seriously, I'm surprised, yet excited with the news. Thank again.. :)

Emm.. well, I would describe myself as creative, positive and friendly.
:)

Tell us a bit about yourself, where you from and what you do?

First of all, I guess some of you might be curious that why I choose Curryegg as my name in blogosphere. To shorten the story, it was my nickname which I got it from my classmates back in high school. It had been years I never heard of this calling ever since I graduated until recently, I use it for my blog link. So, here you go - the Curryegg blogger..

*giggles*

So back to our question. Where are we? Emm.. Oh ya. Currently I am still a student, majoring in Psychology in one of the local university in Malaysia. Psychology is a fun subject and I love it.
:)

How long have you been involved in blogging. Is there any good experiences happened to you related to blogging?
So far, it has been nearly two years ever since I started blogging. Seriously, being a blogger has changed my world - from a nerdy girl who had been sinking herself in academic books to an active girl who enjoys expressing herself in the blogosphere in whatever way.

Besides, I have made a bunch of good friends in the blogosphere in these two years of blogging. We read and comment each other blogs which unconsciously make us feel close. Some of us even met up in some blogger gatherings. I shall thank Nuffnang, one of the biggest Malaysia advertising company which never fails in organizing event for the bloggers. It allows me to interact with other bloggers during in the events. Thank.. :)

Last but not least, blogging allows me to enchance my creativity over my writing, photography and video editing skills. This is something I hardly get from my school or college.

Creative, positive and friendly. Creative, positive and friendly..I have to memorize that..lol. I've been reading your blog...yea you seems very active and outgoing, with your Halloween party, Nuffnang events, you are in every spotlights :). So..back to the question, since you mentioned Nuffnang..what do you think of 'Blogging For Money'?

Haha.. Well Rei, you don't have to remember that. Just remember Curryegg, will do.. Lolx...
:)

Talking about 'Blogging For Money', seriously, I do wish to make some extra income from my blog. Sadly, it doesn't happen till now. I guess, I haven't master the skill yet. Haha.. Anyway, I'm still enjoying myself even without ads like Nuffnang and Adsense because my main objective in blogging is to share my feeling, opinion and passion with readers. I love writing ever since I was a kids and I did keep a series of diary. Well, it is so yesterday and I am no longer writing in the old-fashion book. So, here I am in the blogville..

*wink*
*wink*

Talking about money...if you have 1 million by now, what would you do with the money?

Lol.. Do I sound like a money maker? Haha.. How I hope so... :P
Emm.. If I have 1 million dolar, firstly, I will stop my parents from working and take over the family. They are old now and I hope to take good care of them. Next, I wish to pursue my studies in oversea and then, build a clinic for my counseling session. Working as a professional counselor has always be my dream and I am achieving it. Keep my fingers crossed.. :)

You said blogging has changed you so much and sparked your creativity, and 2 years blogging is quite long time. Would you share with us 3 tips to achieve that consistency, I mean..I started blog way back in 2001, but gave up just after 1 post :).

Yes. Blogging did boost up my creativity especially in writing, photography, communicating and etc. It happens naturally. Believe it or not, it does help in my class assignment.

*smile broadly*

Talking about tips in achieving consistency in blogging, I am not sure whether my tips will help or not. So far, I believe in doing things that we love. Should I name this as passion? When we have the passion, indirectly we will have the motivation to blog. So pick those topics that you love and blog them. Or else, you will never enjoy the fun of blogging.

Besides, receiving and appreciating comments from the readers does motivate me to continue blogging. Comments or responses from the others make me feel more alive and I don't know why. Haha.. So I guess, having a good relationship between the writer and reader will improve the consistency in blogging.

Lastly, allow yourself to rest or go for a trip whenever you are facing writer's block. I believe we all face this problem some times.. Right? Therefore, there is no point forcing yourself to write when there is nothing to be shared. When the mind is ready, you know you will start rocking the blogosphere again!

:)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh my.
I am really honoured. Can't wait for the next questions..
Thank you again for brighting my day. Right now, I am motivated to blog even more quality posts for you, my readers.. :)

Thank for everything from you..
*hugs*

:D

I guess some of you must be wondering what is this Bloggerunited? Well, it is a website for bloggers to widen their social networking and to gain some popularity for both blogger and blog. Popularity is based on how often you sign in to the website and how much clicks you gain to your latest blog post link. Easy as it sounds. That's why I love Bloggerunited.. :)

Be my friends in Bloggerunited, will ya?
;D

The Wackiest I Would Do to Race for N96

When I didn't receive any email from Nuffnang on 24th of November 2008, I thought my mission to continue my race for N96 has been terminated. Despair and disappointment set in and I felt unwillingness to blog anymore. It was like the end of my day when I have to accept the fact of not being selected for Nokia 2nd round race.

*sigh*

Somehow, I guess the lady luck is on my side and I had actually received an email from Kelvin Leong from Nuffnang on that exact date, stating that I am eligible for the second run - which mean I am getting closer to win that freaky Nokia N96 phone!

OMG!!!!!

Thank Kelvin!!!!

I was too careless to check my other isolated email boxes untill 2 days ago, a friend of mine sent some photos for me into one of the isolated email box. So I signed in and wa-la.... I saw a sparking email, written..

"Congratulation! You're now one step closer to get into the Nokia N96 race........."

*All of a sudden, my heart skipped a few beats*
*Am I dreaming??*

Some of you might be wondering, why am I so crazy over the Nokia N96? Seriously, do you really mean it? I mean, do you really want to know why? Hello~~
Nokia N96 you are asking me? Well, who wouldn't want that latest-multi-funtional handphone? It is like a dream to own a gadget which fits every youngster's needs.

Emmm... I am still a youngster right? Lol...

OkOk, I am an adult now. But still, it fits every high-tech-savvy-adult's needs (me! me!).
I have been dreaming of using time wisely by feeding myself with all my favourite songs, playing online games, updating my Facebook and Twitter status, upload new photos and video clips and blog them lively while waiting for classes or during break time in varsity
.

Besides, having this phone will allow me to fully use Ovi facilities. Thank to David for introduce this website for me and I found it cool! I can directly update my photo in Ovi and make it a slideshow for my blog like in my sidebar. Cool right? It is much faster than slide.com. And I want to play games in N96!!!

It sounds like multi-tasking but seriously, we, the new generation of high technology users can handle this, right?

Ever since David Lian showed me the new Nokia N96 during in the Nuffnang Halloween Party, I knew this smart phone will work perfectly on all my needs. I knew it... I knew it... because I have done my homework. Lol... I googled them of course!

XD

So, I am given this golden chance to grab the last 2 Nokia N96 phones which are sponsored by the generous Nokia company and I am working on it right now. No matter how, I am trying my best to win this race! Yes I CAN!

Malaysia Boleh~~~~

My List:

  1. A good pair of shoes
  2. A comfortable t-shirt
  3. A pair of out-standing pants
  4. A glamourous cap
  5. A big bag
  6. Self-protection - egg frying pan
  7. Food - eggs
  8. Motivation notes - wall reminder
  9. Emmm.... what else?

Egg pan is for self-defense. Useful as it is hard, portable and easy to carry. It's a must for every female. At the same time, it can be used for cooking. So, eggs are necessary in this case.
=P

DONE!!!

Wait wait... How can I forget this beautiful pink band? It is a 2GB USB. Muahahaha... Got this from The Silence Halloween Party. Nice right? This band is for accessory. Hihi... :P

DONE!!!
EVERYTHING IS IN ORDER AND I AM READY TO RACE FOR N96!!!

Well well well....
Don't you believe in me that I am going to be the wackiest candidate among the others?

Watch THIS and don't regret!

Reminder: No insurance is provided for any circumstances after watching this video clip. For safety, get your own insurance.

Now..... Can I have a Nokia N96.... may I????
pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

:(

My Diary

We're already in the first day of June which I hope it will be a better month for the world. I know it will.

Looking back at the month of May, I feel completely empty, cold and dark. I don't know why. Maybe... it's because of the disasters in China and Burma which have affected my emotion indirectly? Right now I'm still grieving for the victims and this is the reason why my blog is still in pink. Something has stopped me from taking down the banner.

What has stopped me? Well, since my house has installed with Astro (TV programme), I'm given the chance to watch live news and shows. And this opportunity has helped to to understand the world better. No more out-dated news, no more fake news. Thank to Astro. (How do I live without you?)

Everyday, there will be latest news about Shi Chuan (victims, volunteers and donors) and everyday, the news will touch my heart. I can see how motivated the victims want to survive. I can feel the helping spirit among the people around the world. They have showed me that, life is beautiful and we shall be grateful with what we have.

Unconsciously, my perception towards life is slowing changing. I'm not sure is it good or bad. But for sure, it's leading me to a more positive view of life. I can come out with more philosophy right now. Haha.. 'Don't pray pray ah'.

This post is inspired by Hong Kong's spirit for their 512 donation campaign (8 hours) which has just ended few minute ago. Hundreds of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan artists are giving their hands by running the campaign together. I'm touched, again.

How To Get Along WIth Your Readers Using Facebook?

Lately, I'm so addicted to Facebook. Sorry Friendster, not you anymore.
Maybe it is because of I've found out something valuable in Facebook, other than the exciting games. I've been hearing a lot people saying that we can earn money using Facebook. Well it's true. The function in Facebook is really useful if you wanna expand your business. You can promote your product using their ads, notification to your Facebook friends, creating group and etc.

Of course, I'm not a businessman and I've nothing to promote accept my blog. I believe a lot of bloggers wish to promote their blogs and gain more readers from time to time. That's why bloggers are using Mybloglog, Innit (nuffnang), Digg, Stumble and etc which are big communities to expand their horizon and at the same time promoting their blogs.

I'm a type of person who love making new friends and ever since I've stepped into the blogosphere, I've made quite a big amount of friends from all around the world. *Thank you to all of you*
I've tried a few ways to get along with my friends other than using the comment box which is provided in my blog. I use Mybloglog, MSN and cbox to interact with my readers and they're working and fun! However, this time Facebook has caught my attention. What others have, Facebook has too. Lol...

Here are the listed functions where you can interact with your readers:

1) MSN
Lately, Facebook has lunched a new funtion which is similar to MSN. You can chat on live with other Facebook members.

2) Games
There are thousands of games out there in Facebook for example Warbook, Be A Billionaire and etc. They are just like an online games and you can challenge your friends base on the highest point in the games. This is one of the games which I love the most- Adopting a dog!

You can pick any type of dog you love and give him/her a name. The reason why I love this games is because... the dog looks like my dog (which had passed away few years ago). Maybe I'm too missing her.. ;)

So, her name is Mandy. In Facebook, I can train her, or pet her or compete with others dog in order to get the medals...

FUN!

3) Body language
Since it's impossible to have any body languages in blogosphere, Facebook can help you. You can pinch, spank, kiss, hugs, pamper or poke your friends. By this way, you know who love you and who hate you. Haha...

Rajeev and Johnny Ong can't stop poking me.. Haha...

4) Dig, Stumble, Innit, Reddit... etc..
You can use Facebook to promote your blog indirectly when you join a group. For example, I've joined a group which is called "I'm A Blogger" and I can start discussing a topic using the discussion board with other members in the group (which is similar to forum).

Besides, I can notify my latest post or blog using the posted items column by submitting my post link. The great news is, a small description and a related image from your latest post will be automatically posted in the column once you send your link there. You don't have to type anything as description to describe your post. Others can add their comment on the post as well.

Other than that, you can chat with the member using 'The Wall'.

5) Twitter
Besides, you can tell your friends about what you're doing right now by using this column. It's like Twitter.

6) Treat Your Friends.
You can treat your friends by sending a cup of coffee from Starbuck, or a set of McD meal or etc to your friends. Of course, it's fake.... HAha... Use your imagination... But at least, your friends remember you. Lol..

I guess, there are still plenty of interesting stuff which I've not yet discovered. Of course, there are disadvantages in Facebook for example the slow loading speed while using the chat box and it's time consuming when playing games. However, it's still an interesting website for me. I do hope I can get myself closure with my readers.

So, if you've an account in Facebook, do add me! Will be glad to know you.. ;)

Thank you.
Happy Mother's Day!
