The Breathtaking House in Perth

If you are aware of my last few posts, you will know that I just came back from a trip to Perth. Yes, Perth! Australia! =D

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~

Sorry folks if you have been waiting so long for my updates. I was busy with some personal stuff before getting back into my writing on my Australia trip. There are hundreds of photos of them and trust me when I tell you that, it took me a day to figure out which location should be blogged first.

So in the end, I have decided to begin with my first stay at my mum’s friend’s house which is located at a rural, hilly area in Perth.

You will be amazed with this place. Like, seriously!

So this is the house, a view from the outside. Guess what? They have their own car garage with automatic door. In fact, most of the houses here have car garage like this to keep their cars safe and warm.

Here are some of the photos on how indoor looks like. The interior design portray a warm and cozy design. I like it.

Christmas!

There are second living hall and dry kitchen, which are my favorite spots but sadly, I can’t find those photos in my hardisk. Probably I have forgotten to capture them with my camera? Aiya *knock my own head*

Well, I can’t blame myself entirely for the mistake because there are too many places to be focused in this house. I heard that this house has more than 5 hectares of land? Well, no idea but for sure, this place is super huge!

I am more interested with their garden (or should i call it an orchard?).

perth8

This is their private corner for barbeque. Ahhhhwwwww…. barbeque! I can have my morning tea there if it’s not freezing out there.

perth9

Not to forget, the house’s guardian. His name is Golddie. Initially, I was so afraid of him. He is huge. Really huge and I nearly see him like a bear. Lol.. It took me some times to place down my fear and get close with him.

perth15

Thank God. He is friendly to all of us, the newbies. He has this ‘English look’ with beautiful, soft white-in-color fur. Aunt said, it is a pure breed of Australian Golden Retriever and has been trained by professional dog trainer at young age. No wonder *nodding*

I miss him. Really. He is so adorable.

perth10

One thing which I can’t forget about Golddie is that, he leaded me walking around ‘his house’, as if like he is the owner of the house. Or.. a tourist guide? He will wait me by slowing down his pace when I walked too slow and until I almost reached him, he will increase his speed again. I feel safe for being taken care of.

Ahhwww… so lovely. No wonder I love my doggie in Malaysia so much =)

perth13

Obviously, my dad loves him too. Golddie even entertained my dad. Lol…

By the way, this place is amazing. I feel like I can do documentary on every objects I spotted,  like National Geography or Discovery. The trees, flowers, herbs, lands, stone and even the sky are beautiful.

These tall trees are call ‘Bad Boy’. Funny aren’t they? Haha…

Ok. Ok. Maybe I am exaggerating my every statement here because it is my first visit. Everything I experienced here might be a bit bias. However, I can’t deny the air here is fresher, and the sun (and moon) here are brighter and rounder! I should show you more prove in my coming posts, especially about Australia’s Sun! Emm.. I mean, sun in Australia =P

perth5

Mum was enjoying her trip as much as I do. I can see, the moment she reached this place, her shoulders relaxed and face lifted up with smile. This house is not just breathtaking but therapeutic as well. Imaging the fresh, chilling air with bird chirping on Bad Boy trees. Hey! I spotted parrots too! =D

perth17

They even have person cruise in their house compound. Oh dear… oh dear.. That’s seriously cool-some-ness! Emm.. i wanted to say cool =P

 perth7

The best expression I could do when it was freaky cold outside. I did look pale.

Oh, I think I have forgotten to mention that it is winter season and all of us were covering ourselves with lotsa clothes. I wore at least three layers of tops with thick socks and gloves. Why I was not wearing it in the above photos? Well, I can’t snap photos with gloves. Lol..

It is about 10-18 Celsius at day time and 3-5 Celsius at night. I can’t stand cold weather. Well, called me a typical Malaysian who always stay in summer. I had tried my best to stay happy by staying as warm as possible.. >.<

perth14

It is my first winter experience and I still enjoy it though most of the time, especially at night, I suffered internally. No matter how many blankets and jackets I put on, I could feel my veins froze while my bones tickled by sharp knife. Well, I am not sure how to put my chilling experience into words. These are my best description so far.

Anyway, this house is breathtaking! I love Australia and I shall tell you why in the coming posts. Stay tune!

=D

P/s: If there is any winter trip in future, I wanna kidnap my panda to go along and hug me warm. Can? =P

P/s/s: The number of photos I took for this trip is lesser because battery die faster during winter and my body can’t stand the coldness.

Banana Leaf Rice

It is my first time, driving all the way from my work place with my supervisor and coursemate just to have banana leaf rice. It is located at Puchong.

The experience was great although it was tiring at the same time because on the same day, I travelled a lot – while still working. Well, if it is not because of food, there is no need to travel far. Curry banana rice.. yum~

photoftheday1

Finally, a photo of me with curry! =D

Seriously, it was a great place to have good spicy food with lovely people. It was first visit of Shu Huan for banana leaf rice and she seemed pleasant with the food, except the ‘yogurt milk drink’. She seemed not enjoying it. Look at the expression! Classic. Hehe..

bananaleaf3

‘Moreh’ in tamil.

bananaleaf4

The curry was nice especially curry chicken. Believe it or not, I have not taken any chicken drumstick ever since Chinese New Year. It is my favorite part of the chicken but.. well, I am sticking to vegetarian food lately – because it is cheap. Like RM2 per meal.

bananaleaf1

However, I realized I am losing weight and I can’t afford to hear any ‘under-weight complaint’ especially from parents and closed friends. Even my supervisor said so =_=

bananaleaf2

Thus, today I had a real fulfilling meal, till loss concentration in driving back journey. Don’t worry. I am safe home =)

P/s: Body slightly feverish and get ulcer. Is it too much of curry? :(

Vote Bei Shan – Maybelline Simply Fabulous Girl

Knowing Bei Shan in person is something which I am really proud of. She is a good friend who I treasure so much in my life as she has taught me a lot within these few years. Bei Shan is a person with strong confident and personality who will never let any negative comments put her down. She has this archetype of a warrior or fighter which I can sense, most of the time. How far this statement is true? Well, ask her.. =P

February 2008

She is a Sarawakian girl who is born with beauty and intelligence. Well, most importantly, she is real and genuineas genuine as the Microsoft. Lol… I have been knowing her like 2 years plus now, since the very first day I learnt that she is both my coursemate and hostel mate. I still remembered those days when the three of us, Shu Huan, Bei Shan and I walking from college (hostel) to classes and classes to college, holding each others umbrella in our hand. We share jokes, laughter, sorrow, anger and disappointment together which are unforgettable.

Can the three of us doing this again- walking side by side, catching each others shadows and calling ‘those’ who are late to class? Can? Can?

Having a friend like her is wonderful because you don’t have to hide any feelings behind the mask. Besides, you will hardly see the shocking true-color of herself popping out after some period of time because…. they are already shown up in the first meeting. That is why, I agree with what she has written in her short biography in the Maybelline Simply Fabulous top 10 finalist page.

Ng Bei Shan, 22

Date of birth:

1st March 1987

Occupation:

Student, Counseling (UM)

Ambition/Dream:

To be a whole-rounded person in life, live life to the fullest and to leave positive impact in other's lives. I hope to be an expert in the help profession and to help others to discover their potentials too!

Why did you join this competition:

I joined this competition because I want to experience something new and different. I was attracted to the prize that is to win RM10,000 and a free trip to New York especially the New York Fashion Week which is exclusive. I'd really love to visit NY because it's a city of Liberty and I've always dreamed of going to the states to live my 'American Dream'. So, I hope I can win to be on my way to overseas and open up my eyes! And of course, I'm doing all these because I want to discover my potential which I have overlooked all these while. Like Maybelline's tagline, 'maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline'.

Seriously, this is my first experience, having a friend who are close to me entering a big reality show and competition like this. This really intrigues me! Also, this is my very first post asking votes from my readers to support my friend.

There are reality shows for this Maybelline Simply Fabulous search in which the shows are about these 10 lucky girls and their journeys to a free trip to New York and RM10,000 as the winner. Oh my.. New York and RM10, 000!

beishan2 copy

I know how much this free trip to New York and RM10,000 mean so much to her in order to achieve her dreams. I have been hearing these several times from her in classes and I know she is serious about it, right girl? :)

Zanmai & Jason

I just realized that there are a number of Virgo babies who are in my friend list. New friends like Cynthia, Rachel, Kit Yen, Jason, Pei Saan and Zambri were born in the month of late August and September. Look like the Virgo babies are ruling my social contact as they are another long list of old friends who are Virgos too.

Haha.. And guess what, majority of my Virgo friends are female. So… I wonder, will the guys feel slightly uncomfortable when they first learnt that they are categorized as the Virgo babies since the name Virgo is originated from the word virgin or maiden which sounds more like a female?

Emm.. any Virgo guy can answer this?

Anyway, it is just zodiac and it has nothing to do with the name either it is feminine or masculine (like Taurus, Scorpio and etc), right? I used to read horoscope a lot, back in my teenager life as I was amazed with the accuracy in fortune reading. Well, not anymore now when I learnt that future is always in our hands. It depends on how much we have worked in our present moment and how well we have planned for the future.

So, back to our September baby, few weeks ago, I had attended Jason’s birthday party (yang ke-22) in a classy Japanese Restaurant, Sushi Zanmai. Believe it or not, I had been longing to go there, like months because I always receive good comment about the food (which always made me mouth watering. Emmm….). Yet, the attempts to visit this restaurant failed due to certain reasons.

Going to Jason’s Birthday Party at Zanmai is like my dream comes true. I could join Eric’s friends, celebrating Jason birthday for the very first time and to try the food I have been hoping for. Thanks Jason for inviting me. It is really nice of you.

There is one thing I hate to do: Food blogging. I can’t stand myself pausing, adjusting and snapping food especially when they are ready to be served in front of me. None of my brain cells could work properly when the aroma and the presentation of the food tickling my nose and my distracting my eyes. That’s the reason why I could only snap a few and with blurry image. So, forgive me… :)

My love: Sashimi! Emmm.. Salmon.. :D

We had a lot of fun in that three hours when all of us gathered in a right corner room with 2 large tables. The room was filled with jokes and laughters with Japanese song as the background music which shinned the entire room.

Kok Wei & Makiyo

For the very first time, I had cake with chopstick. New thing!

The new photographers: Kenneth & Kok Wei.

(Jealous wei… –_-)

While others were having fun in the room, I managed to record a short video clip in order to remember the big day of Jason. Guess what, I have come up with this video clip, entitled “The Wasabi War”. How I love the title… :D

Thank you Jason for inviting us. It is such an honor to be there. May your wishes come true.. :D

P/s: There should be a few group photos but since Steve has lost them, sob… no more lu~ Gosh… Now I am feeling hungry again. I wonder when can I go Zanmai again… :(
